International SeaKeepers Society
The International SeaKeepers Society works directly with the yachting community as an essential component and contributor to ocean research and conservation efforts. SeaKeepers enables the yachting community to take full advantage of their unique potential to advance marine sciences and legal sustanon 250 to raise awareness about global ocean issues. SeaKeepers 100+ DISCOVERY Yachts augment current knowledge about the state of the oceans, rouse significant scientific discovery, raise awareness about critical ocean issues and inspire a passion for the seas. Demand for access to the global oceans for scientific research is astronomical. The current research fleet is incapable of meeting current needs due to debilitating costs, limited research foci and the retirement of obsolete vessels.
Make-A-Wish America
Make-A-Wish® grants the wish of a child diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition in the United States and its territories, on average, every 38 minutes. They believe that a wish experience can be a game-changer. This one belief guides us. It inspires us to grant wishes that change the lives of the kids we serve. A wish experience can be a game-changer for a child with a life-threatening medical condition. This one belief guides us in everything we do at Make-A-Wish®. It inspires us to grant wishes that change the lives of the kids we serve. It compels us to be creative in exceeding the expectations of every wish kid. It drives us to make our donated resources go as far as possible. We grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.
TAPS – Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors
Caring for the families of the fallen... TAPS is the 24/7 tragedy assistance resource for ANYONE who has suffered the loss of a military loved one, regardless of the relationship to the deceased or the circumstance of the death. Founded out of tragedy in 1994, TAPS has established itself as the front line resource to the families and loved ones of our military men and women. TAPS provides comfort and care through comprehensive services and programs including peer based emotional support, case work assistance, connections to community-based care, and grief and trauma resources. TAPS has assisted over 50,000 surviving family members, casualty officers and caregivers.
Wounded Warrior Project
The Wounded Warrior Project’s vision is to foster the most successful, well-adjusted generation of wounded service members in our nation's history. Their purpose, to raise awareness and enlist the public's aid for the needs of injured service members, to help injured service members aid and assist each other, and to provide unique, direct programs and services to meet the needs of injured service members. To ensure injured service members stay connected with one another, WWP has both a peer mentoring and robust Alumni program. Additionally, the Policy & Government affairs program ensures injured warriors and their families have a voice in local and national advocacy and legislative issues. WWP also offers a Benefits Service program that provides you with access to government benefits and details on all of our programs and community resources.
Feed More – Meals on Wheels
Meals on Wheels volunteers provide daily, nutritious home-delivered meals and a friendly, safety and security check to eligible homebound neighbors who cannot shop or cook for themselves. These neighbors include seniors, the disabled, or chronically ill adults under the age of 60. They may receive meals short term, while recovering from an illness or surgery, or long term, to assist them while they remain safely and independently in their homes. The services we provide help ensure the continued health and well-being of over 1,800 elderly and homebound citizens in our community. From packages of comfort food for a patient undergoing cancer treatment, to flu shots and nutritional supplements, or even food for the pets that bring joy and companionship to their owners, Meals on Wheels brings more than food to our deserving clients. Last year, they prepared and delivered more than 337,000 meals—customized to a variety of health needs—and related services that kept our neighbors in need safe, comfortable, and living in their own homes.
CASA
The mission of the National Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Association, together with its state and local members, is to support and promote court-appointed volunteer advocacy so that every abused or neglected child can be safe, establish permanence and have the opportunity to thrive. CASA volunteers are appointed by judges to watch over and advocate for abused and neglected children, to make sure they don’t get lost in the overburdened legal and social service system or languish in inappropriate group or foster homes. Volunteers stay with each case until it is closed and the child is placed in a safe, permanent home. For many abused children, their CASA volunteer will be the one constant adult presence in their lives.
Rady Children’s Hospital
Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego is the region’s pediatric medical center serving San Diego, Imperial, and southern Riverside counties. They are The largest children’s hospital in California (based on admissions), the sixth largest children’s hospital in the country, the only hospital in the San Diego area dedicated exclusively to pediatric healthcare, the region’s only designated pediatric trauma center, a provider of care to 88 percent of the region’s children, and a provider of care to more than 192,000 children (in fiscal year 2013). Their outstanding team includes nearly 700 physicians and more than 1,200 nurses, over 4,300 employees, over 500 active volunteers, and more than 1,200 Auxiliary members.
Seal-NSW Family Foundation
The SEAL-NSW Family Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that raises awareness and funds for special programs in direct support of the Naval Special Warfare (NSW) families on a local, national and global scale. Our family-focused efforts allow our warriors to focus on their training and deployment with a greater sense of ease knowing that their loved ones have strong support here at home.
