Job Description: Installations Technician
Our US Government customer is currently seeking skilled and qualified Installation Desktop Technician to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will support the US Government customer program located in Washington, D.C. person will support our customer with aligning their technologies with overall goals and better utilize existing technologies and processes. This role requires excellent analytical skills, extensive technical knowledge, and the ability to understand how technology supports business and organization goals.
Day to Day Work Responsibilities:
• Provide a high-level of customer service to all customers including effective communication
• Installs, configures, and upgrades computer hardware and software which includes the migration of data
• Provides technical support and troubleshooting to network, desktop, and/or systems hardware and software
• Applies advanced diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigate causes, and recommend solutions
• Contribute to departmental policies and procedures related to computer hardware, software installations and customer support
• Support Windows 10, Mac OS, iOS, and Android
• Provide IT support relating to technical issues involving Microsoft core business applications and operating systems
• Receive and respond to incoming calls, and/or work orders regarding desktop and/or laptop problems
• Perform delivery of IT Equipment as well returning to stock of equipment
• Provides phone and help-desk support for local and off-site users
• Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned
• Participates in special projects as required
Basic Qualifications:
• High School Diploma with 5 years' experience
• U.S. Citizenship Required; Must have the ability to obtain/maintain a Public Trust clearance
• 5+ years of directly related experience supporting IT operations with Windows 10 and in Active Directory environment.
• Intermediate level of experience in MAC/PC hybrid environments including mobile devices
• Must have minimum of 1-year experience with JAMF (SCM platform) and SCCM/PXE for Windows
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to effetely prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
• Extensive equipment support experience
• Working technical knowledge of current protocols, operating systems (Windows 10/MacOS) and SOPs
• Must be able to lift to 50 lbs
• Keen attention to detail
• Team oriented and skilled in working within a collaborative environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
Certifications Preferred: MCSA, MCP and ACSP
Additional Provisions:
• Must be able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance
• Pass both a client mandated clearance process to include drug screening, criminal history check and credit check.
• All candidates must be a US Citizen only
• Candidate must have lived in the United States for the past 5 years.
• Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last five years. Military Service excluded. (Exception does not include military family members.)
