PLANIT Group is excited to announce a recent award with the Department of Labor, performing COBOL mainframe development, with a solution to include Easytrieve, TSO, JCL, CICS, SQL, and DB2 technical services. The Time-Sharing support services from PLANIT will be providing text editor support, batch processing, and debugging on IBM IMS and DB2 mainframe databases. PLANIT will interact with users in either a line-by-line mode or in a full screen, menu-driven mode. The mainframe interaction is via ISPF, which allows for customized menu-driven interaction.
The Mainframe Development support will be for internal DoL usage internal DB development, and configuration to improve and enhance the current systems. “We are extremely excited about this support to the Department of Labor, the critical mission of this division of our nation’s government, and improving upon their legacy systems,” commented David Hoshko, PLANIT Group’s COO. “We are excited to be looking at ways to bringing in more advanced and customizable coding solutions through JAVA and web based application architecture, in order to get the United States Department of Labor working at a more efficient level.
