Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Project Manager Job Description: Responsible for overseeing and managing projects involving the implementation, customization, or upgrade of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (now often split into Finance and Supply Chain Management modules). This role combines expertise in project management with deep knowledge of the Dynamics 365 platform and business processes related to finance and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Execution: Define project scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, and resources needed for successful implementation of Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
- Team Leadership: Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams including solution architects, developers, business analysts, and end-users.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the main point of contact between the client, internal teams, and third-party vendors, ensuring clear and effective communication.
- Risk and Issue Management: Identify potential risks and issues early and develop mitigation plans to keep the project on track.
- Budget Management: Monitor and control project budgets, ensuring resource allocation aligns with project goals.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the solutions delivered meet business requirements, compliance standards, and quality benchmarks.
- Change Management: Manage changes in project scope or business processes to minimize disruptions and ensure smooth adoption.
- Training and Support: Facilitate end-user training and post-implementation support for a successful transition.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations modules.
- Proven experience in managing ERP implementation projects.
- Familiarity with business processes in finance, supply chain, manufacturing, and operations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies like Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
- Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Microsoft Dynamics certifications are often preferred.
