PlanIT Group is seeking an Asset Management Specialist to support our Federal customer in the Washington, DC area. The ideal candidate will support and assist Asset Management with managing IT, Telecom, and Office Equipment inventory, ensuring compliance with Chief Information Officer (CIO) policies, and providing guidance to staff on asset management best practices.

Requirements

Our US Government customer requires contractor support to assist Asset Management with managing IT, Telecom, and Office Equipment inventory, ensuring compliance with Chief Information Officer (CIO) policies, and providing guidance to staff on asset management best practices.

Task Objectives and Deliverables

The SME shall complete the following objectives and deliverables:
a) Conducting IT, Telecom, and Office Equipment inventory audits and physical asset verification across all customer departments.
b) Provide guidance to General Services Administration (GSA) personnel for auditing state office locations.
c) Managing inventory processes, including tracking, tagging, accounting, and disposal of assets in accordance with Senate rules.
d) Offering asset management guidance to Asset Custodians and System Administrators and performing audits, as needed.
e) Investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies and implementing measures to prevent recurrence.
f) Maintaining catalog listings of office equipment offerings and analyzing Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) materials to clearly define specifications for customers.
g) Preparing documentation for the final disposal of IT and Office Equipment assets.

Responsibilities:
• Monitor software licenses to ensure they comply with license agreements and usage standards.
• Collaborate with management to define cost savings, asset compliances and service improvements.
• Prepare and manage IT asset capital and expense budgets.
• Manage and maintain Digital Asset Management system.
• Ensure the cataloguing process is shared to maintain best practices.
• Provide training and support.
• Recommend process improvements.
• Support the execution of creative projects.

Skills:
• DAM systems and protocols.
• Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro, and In-Design.
• Microsoft Office.
• Demonstrated experience with IT Service Management/Asset Management Tools such as SCCM, ServiceNow.

Education/Experience:
• Undergraduate degree.
• Work experience.
• 3-5 years’ experience.

Additional Provisions:
• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
• Pass both a client mandated clearance process to include drug screening, criminal history check and credit check.
• All candidates must be a US Citizen.
• Candidate must have lived in the United States for the past 5 years.
• Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last five years. Military Service excluded. (Exception does not include military family members.)
