Space is a critical domain, connecting our technologies, our security and our humanity. While others view space as a destination, we see it as a realm of possibilities, where we can do more — we can innovate, invest, inspire and integrate our capabilities to transform the future.
At Lockheed Martin Space, we aim to harness the full potential of space to cultivate innovation, reduce costs, and push the boundaries of what technology can achieve. We're creating future-ready solutions, focusing on resiliency and urgency through our 21st Century Security® vision. We're erasing boundaries and forming partnerships across industries and around the world. We're advancing spacecraft and the workforce to fuel the next generation. And we're reimagining how space can connect us, ensuring security and prosperity.
We are seeking an experienced Database Engineer to support the Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) program within the Operations & Sustainment (O&S) Product Support / Logistics team. The role focuses on the development, maintenance, and enhancement of SLICwave Life Cycle (SLICwave LC)—an enterprise‐wide relational database used for Integrated Product Support (IPS) and logistics management in aerospace, defense, and manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Logistics Product Data (LPD) Support – Partner with the LPD team to develop Logistics Support Analyses (LSA), Logistics Product Data, and Logistics Operational Risk Analyses (LORA) for government deliverables.
- Cataloging & Provisioning – Create and maintain catalog and provisioning data, interpreting technical data packages and engineering drawings to ensure accurate product representation.
- GEIA‐STD‐007 Reporting – Generate and manage GEIA‐STD‐007 compliance reports and provisioning Bills of Materials to support O&S activities.
- Cross‐Functional Architecture Integration – Work directly with hardware and software engineers to review system architecture inputs, ensuring SLICwave accurately reflects supply chain, line‐replaceable units (LRUs), and field‐spare requirements.
