Summary: The focus of this position is to implement Office Moves, Consolidations, Closures, Internet circuit testing/turn-up, Equipment refresh and replacements and assist with Office Integration projects for Technology.

  • Must Haves: Five plus years' experience in Tier 2 Network/Computer engineering, support, or related technical field. Valid Driver's license and Passport. Must be able to travel domestically and internationally. Must be comfortable speaking to people.
  • Preferred: Someone who has a versatile background with Systems administration, Help desk, Networking support, End User Training, VM Ware and/or other virtualization platforms, GPO and Active Directory troubleshooting, Azure, O365 Email, Server configuration, and End user support experience. Someone who has the vitality to travel and is comfortable on domestic and international flights.

Duties and Responsibilities:
We are a dynamic and growing company. We are acquiring firms throughout the US, Canada, and the UK. We are looking for someone with some Networking and Systems Engineering support experience . This Engineer will conduct Office moves, closures, and consolidation projects. They will assist Integration engineers with End user reviews and application testing, This Engineer will travel to various offices and demonstrate troubleshooting competency, deliver mission critical infrastructure, and ensure the highest levels of availability, performance, and security. The ability to interact with customers in a professional manner is essential.
  • Verify internet circuits are active and within spec (bandwidth/latency tests, confirm handoff type, validate demarc location/extension, document circuit IDs, and record turn up details)
  • Access Point verification: validate AP locations against floor plans/heatmaps, confirm proper mounting and orientation, check PoE power budget and switch assignments, label and document AP MACs/serials, and capture photo evidence.
  • Camera verification: validate camera locations against security layouts, confirm correct field of view and mounting height/angle, verify PoE/stream status, and capture photo evidence and short test clips where applicable .
  • Inventory & logistics check: confirm all equipment has been delivered per BOM (firewalls/switches/Client/cameras/UPS/patch panels/mounting hardware/cabling), reconcile discrepancies, and escalate shortages/damages.
  • Corporate network setup (as applicable): stage core network per standards—base firewall config, VLANs, DHCP scopes, DNS/NTP, SSIDs and security, site to site/SD WAN policies, QoS for voice/video, and basic monitoring hooks.
  • Acceptance artifacts: update the site checklist/punch list, attach photos and test results, log serials and asset tags, and obtain stakeholder sign off before scheduling the on site deployment team.
  • Ability to place equipment orders, and track deliveries.
  • Help provide post migration support to customers including connecting to computers using LogMeIn and assisting with computer issues
  • Manage the issue log and document customer incidents and resolutions. Communicate support issues to the Project team so they can ensure that documentation is updated
  • Follow-up with the Telco team to verify ISP circuit Information.
  • Conduct Office closures and decommission server, ISP equipment, WAPS, and other equipment
  • Perform Office moves by shutting down equipment, preparing systems for the moving company, and setting up equipment in the new location
  • Verify new Internet circuit installs and connect networking equipment
  • Complete e-waste inventory and submit pickups
  • Provide go-live support by assisting users with understanding O365, Company portal, SPAM, Archiving and encrypting
  • Ability to understand how an application is supported by a vendor and determine upgrade plans for unsupported platforms
  • Perform network refresh projects such as replacing UPS, installing WAPS, and assisting with Ring Central VOIP migrations
  • Knowledge of Windows Server 2012/2016 and Windows 10 configuration and troubleshooting
  • Ability to migrate computers onto the corporate network and restore applications and end user data
  • Assist with equipment setups and end user support for integration projects


Knowledge, Qualifications, Skills, and/or Ability:
  • Administration, troubleshooting, and supporting Microsoft environments – O365 (Email, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams); Windows 10, Server, AD/Azure AD, Intune, etc.
  • Strong ability to organize and manage multiple tasks utilizing effective time management skills
  • 5+ years' experience in installing, supporting, configuring, and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows operating system, Windows Server, Active Directory, and GPOs
  • Works effectively with all levels of internal technology team, end-users, management, and 3rd party vendors
  • Professional attitude, excellent interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong customer service focus
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations in a professional manner
  • Solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of applications
  • Understanding of monitoring systems (PRTG, Solarwinds, Nagios)
  • Ability to work with a Distributed team
  • Solid networking knowledge (TCPIP, SD-WAN, VLANs, Basic web traffic/filtering, Voice networks fundamentals)
  • Microsoft Exchange and O365 migration knowledge (SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive) is a plus
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills with Outlook, Excel, and Word. Microsoft Project, Visio, and PowerPoint expertise is a plus.
  • Understanding or Cloud computing, Microsoft Azure, or AWS
  • Ability to setup Racks, Monitor arms, switches, firewalls, UPS, and WAPS
  • The physical demands described here must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time. Ability to lift, carry, install networking equipment up to 50 lbs.

Education:
  • Solid experience without a degree or a degree in a non-technical field will suffice.
  • Six years' experience in Systems administration, Technical support, Training, and consulting role in a Microsoft, Cisco, Azure Cloud, or Fortinet based infrastructure


License / Certification: One or more of the following certifications appreciated: A+ or equivalent, Microsoft, VMWare, Cisco CCNA, Network+, Security+, Fortinet or similar.
