Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Knowledge Management Specialist to lead the development, implementation, and optimization of knowledge-sharing systems and practices across the organization. This role is critical to ensuring that institutional knowledge is captured, organized, and leveraged to enhance operational efficiency, employee onboarding, and decision-making.
  • Design and execute knowledge management frameworks aligned with organizational goals.
  • Establish governance models for content creation, review, and lifecycle management.
  • Administer and optimize knowledge platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Shared Drives, intranet portals).
  • Collaborate with external vendors to ensure seamless integration of knowledge management tools.
  • Curate, organize, and maintain high-quality, searchable knowledge assets.
  • Develop taxonomies, metadata standards, and tagging protocols to improve discoverability.
  • Monitor usage metrics and user feedback to continuously improve the knowledge management system.
  • Strong attention to detail.


Education/Experience Requirements:
  • 3-5 years' experience in knowledge management, content strategy, or information architecture.
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field required.
  • Proficiency in SharePoint required.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
  • Familiarity with change management and adult learning principles is a plus.
  • Works effectively with all levels of the organization - both independently and in teams.
  • Active Security Clearance preferred.
  • Hybrid 3 days/week in Washington, D.C.
