Reporting to the IT PMO Manager, the IT Project Manager is responsible for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of assigned projects and provides a single point of contact for those projects.
Core Responsibilities
Manage IT projects from conception to completion utilizing complete project management lifecycle. Ensure on-time, within budget and scope delivery. Define and agree on deliverables and milestones with Business and IT stakeholders.
Responsible for the successful management of projects: Manage project life cycle from initiating through delivery and project closure; Manage the day-to-day activities of projects and project resources; Create, manage and track project documents including, but not limited to: project schedules, financials (budgets: estimates and actuals), detailed project plans, scope documents, work breakdown structures, cost estimates, resource plans, risk and issue logs and regular status reporting.
Successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of a project. Demonstrate technical project management skills, leadership skills, and strategic and business management skills.
Manage multiple projects concurrently; Organize, conduct and attend meetings with project team and stakeholders to facilitate all levels of project planning to align with IT roadmap.
Direct all phases of the project and assure that the results achieve the business objectives and strategies defined by the organization.
Develop metrics, procedures, objectives and methods to assess project progress while utilizing established standards and quality objectives.
Schedule project meetings to gather updates on tasks, issues, and manage project/resource conflicts. Capture meeting minutes and actions in MS OneNote (or equivalent tool). Publish minutes and actions to meeting participants after meeting concludes. Follow-up on open actions to bring to closure in alignment to due dates.
Establish and implement project management processes and methodologies for the IT community to ensure projects are delivered on-time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards and meet customer expectations.
Plan, organize, lead and control the project efficiently and effectively. Evaluate progress of projects on regular basis to ensure tasks remain on-schedule, issues are addressed, and risks are mitigated.
Lead technical and requirements gathering sessions bringing people and understanding together to produce key deliverables e.g., Business Requirements Document, Functional Specifications Doc, Test Plans, Implementation Plans, Training Plans, etc.
Work with geographically dispersed project team members and/or third-party teams to coordinate development, testing, and implementation of infrastructure, systems, and applications.
Provide technical and analytical guidance to project teams.
Communicate and collaborate with internal and external customers as needed including managing expectations, presenting, and interfacing with stakeholders.
Maintain knowledge of latest strategies, tools and terminologies used in project management to continually grow and improve the Project Management Office's capabilities, practices, and processes.
Able to manage external vendors and partners to deliver per agreed upon service levels.
Able to develop financial budget estimates, actuals, and forecasts. Report financial information bi-weekly and/or monthly.
Qualifications & Experience
Educational Qualification:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field with 10+ years of proven IT Project Management experience.
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is preferred. ITIL knowledge/certification is a plus.
Relevant Experience:
Demonstrated proficient knowledge and practical use of SDLC, Agile Framework, Project/Portfolio Management, Budget Management, standard IT Processes and methodologies such as ITIL.
Demonstrated cross functional experience in use of project development life cycles or other structured project management methodologies in customer facing situations.
Demonstrated Project management experience and best practices providing oversight for multiple, concurrent IT projects.
Experience with SAP or other large ERP implementations is an advantage.
Experience with managing multiple projects related to Infrastructure, Application, and SaaS solutions.
Understanding of architecture and infrastructure and system quality attributes and terms.
Demonstrated proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite: Project, Visio, Excel, OneNote, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
Experience with ServiceNow and SharePoint as a Site Admin and/or Self-Service User.
Global HRIS (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle) implementation experience is a plus.
