Job Description:
We're seeking an GPS and IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) Subsystems Engineer to provide GPS and IMU electronics solutions including architecture development, requirement definition, analysis, and testing. The Subsystem engineer will collaborate with functional teams in developing requirements for GPS and IMU Subsystems and perform analysis to decompose requirements for the GPS Receiver, GPS Antenna, and IMU subsystems. Candidate must possess ability to multi-task, communicate effectively across engineering disciplines, and interface effectively with the Government customer.

• Developing and documenting subsystem requirements, test plans, and root cause failure reviews
• Peer reviews of designs, presentations to peers, management, and government customers
• Interface with suppliers of navigation components, IMU, GPS receivers and the GPS Antenna to manage subcontract activities and ensure compliance with requirements
• Responsible for cost, schedule, and technical performance of GPS and IMU IRAD efforts for M-code
• Interface with GPS Directorate to maintain MAAP accounts, Security approvals, Account Control Number approvals for SAASM and M-code Receivers.
• Approximately 10% travel required
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
• Experience in GPS and/or Inertial Navigation sub-systems, requirement development, and requirement validation
• 8 or more years of experience working in a combination of GPS receivers, GPS antennas, or IMUs
• Experience with GPS testing in a lab and field environment
• Ability to create test documents such as plans, procedures, and reports
• Demonstrate the ability to use analysis tools such as MATLAB or Python
• Active DOD Secret Security Clearance Investigated In Last 5 Years
Desired Skills:
• Experience with hardware integration, Hardware in the Loop (HWIL), modeling, simulation and environmental testing
• Ability to lead/manage collaborative and cross-functional teams
• Ability to interface and drive suppliers to meet commitments
• Experience with GPS and IMU navigation subsystem blended solution (GPS+INS) via Kalman filter techniques
• Knowledge and/or experience with M-code
• Knowledge of DOD hardware development process
