PlanIT Group is seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) 2 for our Federal customer in the Raleigh, NC area. The ideal candidate will have experience with Endpoint Technology Refresh projects with a specific area of focus in the tracking of Project of milestones around deployment and replacement of devices and supports reporting for planning schedules and tracking schedules of in-flight projects against GIR goals. Supports the development of timelines and presentations in support of management initiatives. Also supports Order Processing Specialists functions.

The ideal candidate will provide staff augmentation for Endpoint Technology Refresh PMO (Program Management Office) with a specific area of focus in the tracking of Project of milestones around deployment and replacement of devices and supports reporting for planning schedules and tracking schedules of in-flight projects against GIR goals. Supports the development of timelines and presentations in support of management initiatives. Also supports Order Processing Specialists functions.
The resource will be expected to support the program management and project execution activities required to accomplish the team’s objectives. The following are examples of the project activities included but are not limited to the following.
Basic Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, the candidate must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
Bachelor's (or equivalent) with 18+ years of experience or a master’s with 16+ years of experience.

Subject Matter Expert - Roles and Responsibilities Include, but not limited to:
• Works as a consulting team member or an individual consultant providing objective advice,
• Expertise and specialized skills in, but not limited to, supporting projects related to the individual's subject matter expertise.
• These senior employees are considered experts in a functional domain (e.g., large scale enterprise solutions, acquisition, industry, client, finance, organizational development, etc.) with a number of years of experience.
• SMEs prepare and deliver presentations to colleagues, subordinates, commercial clients, and government representatives at all levels of the organization from C-Suite to technical domains.
• Assures the proper use of current or requested programming, testing and documentation techniques.
• Produces and/or reviews documentation and reports reflecting knowledge of areas in enterprise computing, large scale enterprise deployments of software and adoption by the organization.
• Employees assigned to this job are very senior level individual contributors and may have supervisory responsibilities.
• Recognized industry authority with advanced technical insight in multiple fields and disciplines.
• Complexity of work is state of the art and new to the company and to the industry.
• Serves as consultant to top management in long-range planning concerning new or projected areas of technological research and advancements.
• Consult with management and customers regarding product feasibility and viability of network infrastructure plans, designs, and includes emerging technology and product supportability into design and implementation.
NOTE: If resource does not have a relevant college degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required.

Basic Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, the candidate must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
Bachelor's (or equivalent) with 18+ years of experience or a master’s with 16+ years of experience.
- Ability to drive projects and provide day-to-day direction to team members.
- Must be able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance – US Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder) and must not have traveled outside of the US for a combined total of 6 months or more in last 5 years.
- Must have resided in the US for the last 5 years.
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
- Program Management Certifications
- Experience using Microsoft Office
- ITIL Foundations
Subject Matter Expert - Roles and Responsibilities Include, but not limited to:
- Compiles program data and reports on status of key projects to management.
- Consult with management and customers regarding product feasibility and viability of network infrastructure plans, designs, and includes emerging technology and product supportability into design and implementation.
- Serve as liaison between senior executive and technical teams which may include network engineers, development team and customer management.
- Provide advanced support for the diagnosis and resolution of complex problems to ensure minimal disruption of mission-critical systems and applications.
- May leads teams and provides day-to-day direction for projects.
