The Sustainment Engineer will provide support for the After Market Enterprises (AME) sustainment program, ensuring the integration, logistics, and sustainment planning for the lifecycle of the product.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the internal team and Field Service Representatives to ensure seamless communication and support.
• Interface with multiple disciplines, including engineering, logistics, and field support teams.
• Develop and maintain reports, data analysis, and other technical documentation.
• Understanding of inventory control standards for accurate counts, proper shelf life, labeling, and proper packaging.
Working Conditions:
• The successful candidate will work in a team environment, with regular collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• The candidate will be required to maintain open lines of communication with Field Service Representatives and other teams to ensure effective support and sustainment of the product.
• Safety Shoes will be required.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience/combined education
• At least 1-2 years' experience with shipping/receiving/warehousing activities.
• At least 1-2 years' experience with operating material handling equipment (pallet stacker, forklift, etc)
• At least 1-2 years' experience using Microsoft Office Suite, i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• At least 1-2 years' experience in sustainment engineering, logistics, or a related field.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with multiple disciplines.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Able to execute warehouse tasks that involve lifting items that weigh 40 lbs
• Excellent Oral and Written communication skills
Desired skills:
• Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build effective working relationships.
• Technical writing experience and an ability to perform oral presentations in front of large groups.
• Experience with the government DD250 Process
• Familiar with Electrostatic Discharge Procedures
• Electric standup pallet stacker or forklift experience
• Experience with the Army supply system
• Military experience
• Experience troubleshooting the M270A1 and/or HIMARS launchers.
• Must possess a detailed understanding of the MLRS M270A1 and/or HIMARS system to include: fault isolation, diagnostics, and repair of MLRS M270A1/HIMARS electrical, hydraulic/mechanical systems.
