  • Engineers cyber security solutions in response to cyber requirements for solution engineering, vulnerability management and event response.
  • Use automated and manual processes to prevent, detect, and respond to cyber threats.
  • Leads and conducts research and analysis of cyber threats, develops actionable plans for environment protection, assists in incident response investigations, and conducts security tests.
  • Design and engineers' cybersecurity aspects as part of the overall solutions engineering team.
  • Completes training events for incident response activities at least yearly to ensure the team is prepared to handle incident management, triage, recovery and response.
  • Develops operational procedures, identifies and supports advanced cyber threat activities, conducts malware analysis, and ensures data confidentiality, integrity, and safeguarding to Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) standards. Assists with appropriate updates to software that meets cybersecurity coding standards and ensures updates and patching occur to maintain operability of mission sensors.
  • Ensures anti-virus tools comply with all devices and monitor, alert, trouble shoot non-compliant incidents.
  • Maintain a logical model of all devices and their relationships. Ensure policies are followed to maintain the integrity of the software and source code.
  • Provides cyber security support for the development and implementation of security architectures to meet new and evolving security requirements.
  • Provides System Vulnerability Cybersecurity Assessment reports to include information on updates and patching activities and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Studies and analyzes proposed operations modifications, identifies and documents alternative operations solutions, conducts end-to-end architecture tradeoff assessments, develops strategic and tactical plans, implements plans and strategies, develops standards, evaluates new program requirements, and investigates and develops emerging technologies for possible operations modifications.
