Position Job Title: Laser Welder Seeking a Laser Welder for a leading technology company in Chelmsford, MA. This is an exciting contract opportunity with potential for long-term employment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding small and micro parts, ensuring precision and quality in every project. This role involves working with advanced welding equipment to produce high-quality welds on various materials. What You'll Do: - Perform laser welding of microelectronic assemblies to create hermetic seals, using a variety of equipment such as automated machines, leak checking devices, and vacuum ovens. - Utilize specialized equipment to perform laser welding of microelectronic assemblies, including automated laser welding machines, mechanical presses, and inert gas mixture gloveboxes. - Troubleshooting of assemblies that do not pass leak checks and other various microelectronic assembly work will be part of the role - Assemble electronic components, sub-assemblies, and products following work instruction and drawings. - Make adjustments to machine settings as necessary to maintain product quality. - Read and interpret engineering drawings, assembly process/work instructions and work instruction processes. - Maintain and troubleshoot welding equipment to ensure reliable operation. - Maintain accurate data entry related to production processes. - Collaborate with teams members to improve throughput and continuous improvement. What We're Looking For: - Preferred experience with operating laser welding and TIG welding equipment to perform precision welds on small and micro parts. - Basic computer skills required, including ability to navigate digital systems for timekeeping, work instructions, and task confirmation. - Proficient in basic math skills for measurements and calculations. - Mechanical aptitude and understanding of machine operations. - Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. - Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. - Knowledge of ESD procedures and machine equipment. - Strong work ethic and a reputation for punctuality and reliability, with a desire to grow and learn in their role. - High school diploma or GED required. |
